Chelsea Erler of Chase, Minnesota
Located in central Minnesota, Chelsea Erler is a place where you can find a variety of activities. These range from hiking to Western riding to English equitation. In addition, the town has a variety of restaurants and shops to keep you entertained.
Early life
During the early life of Chelsea Erler, she was an assistant rider at Quarry Town Stables in Portland, CT. She also participated in the quarter horse association and local 4-H group. She attended Kirkwood Community College and earned an associate’s degree in Equine Science. She continued her education at William Woods University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Business Administration.
As an adult, Chelsea worked at the Emergency Room at Hennepin County Medical Center. She also enjoyed taking her dog Bode on walks. She loved spending time with her children and family. She also made many trips to Iowa to visit her extended family. Her hobbies included decorating the holidays, riding her horse and taking her dog for walks.
Showmanship
Having been involved with horses since age 6, Chelsea Erler has competed in both the Western and English showmanship disciplines. She has won numerous High Point Championships in both AQHA disciplines, with her focus primarily on the Western seat and her partnership with her horse. She has also had the opportunity to ride in shows in the A rated and Open divisions.
Her education includes an associate’s degree in equine science and a bachelor’s degree in equine business administration from William Woods University. She has also participated in numerous clinics with Richard Shrake and Jeff Griffith. She also has experience competing in Quarter Horse shows, Jumping and Paints shows. In addition, she has participated in both the judging team and the local 4-H group.
Trail
Located in Chase, Minnesota, the D bar D Ranch is a horse training facility owned by Jess and Chelsea Erler. The duo is in the business of showing horses, starting colts and giving lessons. After buying a 40 acre farm in 2016, the pair has continued to train at their new facility.
The D bar D Ranch has a variety of facilities, including the show arena and a grooming shack. The equine facility has been operated by Cowboy Logic, LLC since 2012. Aside from training horses, the duo gives lessons at their equestrian complex. They are also active members of the local 4-H group, as well as the quarter horse association.
Western Riding
Having competed in a variety of AQHA disciplines, including Paints, Quarter horses, Open and Jumping, Chelsea Dawson has had a very successful career. She has won numerous High Point Championships in AQHA disciplines. She also has ridden all seats and has competed in Open and A rated shows. She is now working as a rider and instructor at D bar D Ranch in Chase, Minnesota.
Chelsea earned an associate’s degree in Equine Science from Kirkwood Community College. She then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in equine business administration from William Woods University. She has been working at D bar D Ranch in Chase since 2009. After purchasing 40 acres in 2016, she continues to train at the new facility. She and her partner Jess have been starting colts and providing lessons at the new facility.
Death
Whether it was decorating for the holidays, spending time with her children, or taking a walk with her dog, Chelsea Erler loved to spend time with her family. She also took numerous trips to Iowa to see her family.
She and her husband Leo Erler welcomed their son Owen in 2013 and daughter Cora in 2015. She was a Registered Nurse, and her career included a stint at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. She and Leo enjoyed many vacations to Wisconsin, the North Shore of Lake Superior, and northern Minnesota. They had a blast with their family when they attended Olson Fest, a huge family campout at a lake. They were especially fond of the midnight pontoon cruise.
