American Idol Top 24 Heads to Hawai’i For Two Nights of Live Performances
American Idol is back, and it’s time for the show to whittle down the list of aspiring singers. The next cut will send the top 24 to Hawai’i for two nights of live performances at a Disney resort.
On Monday’s episode, the remaining singers perform for judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. Hopefully, one of them will make it to the finals!
Mara Justine
At age 15, Mara Justine had the gumption to audition for the first season of American Idol, and she is now a high school sophomore shining bright on ABC’s show. Her soulful voice and resounding stage presence astonish audiences. She has rapidly gained a tremendous fan base in the Philadelphia area.
The early rounds of this season’s reboot looked tepid and wildly unnecessary. The Top 24 shows (and celebrity duets) have captured a bit of the energy that defined the show’s glory years. And the talent is still incredibly strong, too.

This Cleveland teen has made a journey from singing in her bedroom to the top 24 on American Idol. She walked out of the judges’ room with a golden voice but still needs a little polish.
